Do you want to Age like a Celebrity?
Celebrities, we love them, we hate them, we all want to be like them. The truth is in this day of digital technology, everyone’s life is an open book. For better or worse, every wrinkle is scrutinized, every diet dissected. So do celebrities who live in a stratosphere of their own age in a different manner from us mere mortals? Or do they even age at all? Denise Richards How well has she aged? May: 6/10 Denise Richards was one of the hottest babes on the planet, ever since her turn as a Bond girl. Almost 17 years on, she retains her pretty features but it’s clear her face has lost some of that youthful softness and sparkle. Her forehead looks very hardened to me. 5 Easy Ways to Amp Up Your Skin’s Luminosity
I have always spied on Korean drama actresses and wondered the secret to the Korean dewy skin. We spoke to Dr Michelle Lim from The SW1 Clinic on tips Continue Reading

Men love soft, shiny skin. Here’s how to get it. Nothing exudes youth and sex appeal more than the healthy sheen of nude, supple skin. While the cosmetics industry would love to have you believe that more makeup translates to a more attractive appearance, most men we spoke to actually say they prefer their women with LESS, not more makeup. There lies the conundrum, we women face. How can we bare our faces if our skin is anything less than flawless? We spoke to two skin experts, Marisa Tay, a freelance makeup artist and Dr Low Chai Ling from The SW1 Clinic on their take on how we can make it or fake it when it comes to glowing skin. A LITTLE SCIENCE Skin has three layers: The epidermis is the “raincoat” of our skin, it provides a waterproof barrier and creates our skin The dermis, beneath the epidermis, contains tough connective tissue, hair follicles, and sweat glands. The deeper subcutaneous tissue or “storeroom” is made of fat and connective Continue Reading

BY LISA WILLIAMS At some point, it’s hard to ignore the vivid signs of ageing I see in the mirror. I always felt that my face could be sharper and more V-shaped, but I’ve noticed my face has become more “bottom heavy” and saggy in the past year. My eyes look so dull and permanently tired, it makes me look listless and older than my actual age despite all the eye serums and facials I’ve tried. Perhaps more than anything else, I’m most affected when people say I look older than my husband. With my birthday coming next month, I’ve finally plucked up enough courage to dip my toes into unchartered waters – FILLERS to lift my face! I know that I don’t want anything invasive but I know I am ready for any sort of non-surgical facelift (if there is such a thing)! I’ve chosen to go to SW1 Clinic at my friend’s recommendation. More importantly, one of my close friends have been there before and I’ve heard great things about Continue Reading
